5 Gifts Not To Get For Mother's Day

Mother's Day is around the corner, have you thought of your gift for your Mums? Don't be a typical child, giving the same gift as last year or the same kind of flowers to her. Perhaps if you are giving a bouquet, a vase would be a nice pairing too, so she would not have to think extra about where to put the flowers.

So here’s a more useful listicle—5 gifts you shouldn’t get for Mother’s Day, along with what you can consider instead.

1. Don't just give a fresh bouquet. Instead, pair it with a VASE.

As mentioned earlier, it would be a lovely gift to pair a beautiful vase along with the bouquet you are getting for her. Extra points if you could arrange the flower arrangement yourself. (If you can, no pressure haha)

Mothers would not like gifts that reminded them of chores that they have to do. Actually for anyone as well. so whatever kitchen or home appliances you see online, don't even click on it.

Instead, get her the opposite of pampering homes - a basket of self-care items. Face masks, fragrant lotions, a fluffy robe, and new slippers are all great options. Mums everywhere have been doing the ultimate juggling act for months. Give the gift that offers an opportunity to take a break from being a Mum.

2. Don't give that new high-tech vacuum cleaner. Don't.

3. Don't give fancy jewelry. Instead, give the gift of a quiet afternoon.

Of course, your mum will appreciate those gemstones but with this COVID situation, it’ll just sit in her jewelry box untouched. Perhaps plan a quiet day for your Mum that she would not have to do any duty as a Mum. Make her dress up or do whatever she wishes she could do when she had more time. Could be spending more time with her hubby or as simple as a walk at the park. As we grow older, time is more expensive you know.

4. Don't give CASH! Instead, more CASH

Honestly, why not? I'm sure your Mum would love it more than a bouquet. She could use it to pamper herself!

Jokes aside, instead of cash, you could give her a spa voucher or even make a reservation for her spa day! So she could have her well-deserved me-time. She would be so thrilled to hear that!

5. Instead of cooking, order a luxurious feast!

Yes, cooking yourself for your Mum is sweet especially if you have the time. But you can save more time and enjoy a buffet feast that has restaurant-quality dishes! Save yourself from grocery shopping and clearing the plates.

BellyGood's Mother's Day Party Sets are perfect! With a variety of scrumptious dishes. Choose either Asian or Western menu or BOTH, serving up to 6 people per set! & you could celebrate at the comfort of your homes or the office! The Mums will appreciate you for making their bellies HAPPY!

Mother’s Day is a special and important event. Mothers could mean your non-biological mothers too. The ones who have given you motherly love and helped you grow. All these Mums deserve to be acknowledged for their efforts and sacrifices. While all these are some good ideas, always remember to the gift you are giving is for your Mums, not yourself. The best gift is the gift that they want or need. So do some thinking before making your decision. With the gifts, you have prepared and the efforts you are doing now, your Mum will sure be very thankful for you.
